Rainbow Six Siege Delayed

Ubisoft Announces Rainbow Six Siege Delay

By Hunter Braine

Rainbow Six Siege, Ubisoft new highly anticipated shooter was set to release in October, with the beta coming at the end of September.  However now Ubisoft has officially announced the game will launch on December 1, 2015.

Ubisoft says they came to this decision based off of player feedback.  Rainbow Six Siege has been playable to the fans at different events such as E3, Gamescom, and RTX, and has even held a closed Alpha.  Ubisoft says all of these events have helped them gain a better understanding for what the fans want from the game.  With all of these events and feedback, Ubisoft chose to push back the game a few months to give the players a game they could be more then happy with.  Ubisoft also said the beta would still be released on September 24.

I actually agree with Ubisoft to push back this game.  I have played the game first hand at RTX, and it was a blast, the co-op felt fun and engaging, the game looks beautiful, and there was always something to be done.  However when the demo was done I didn't feel I took anything from the game.  At the end of the day it was a classic shooter with different objectives.  I think given the extra time, Ubisoft can polish the game to make it stand out among the rest of the fall releases.

What do you think about Ubisoft's decision?  How will Siege hold up against other releases this year?  Leave a comment down below!
